Unemployment Insurance Code 606.5

The California Unemployment Insurance Code 606.5 is a section of California law that delineates the circumstances which an employee to employer relationship is established. More importantly, by the measures which will or will not indicate an actual relationship, such as to exclude unofficial hiring – “under the table” – as well as employees took on through a temp agency. This law is also significant in the case of contractors and works performed, and likewise, any actual contractual agreement written, agreed, and satisfied before, during, and post-employment or upon the date of either termination or resignation.
